Great crepes. Amazing food. The only downsidges that you have to walk through a bar in the front to get to the restaurant in the back And sometimes you can be a little crowded at the front bar because of the live music

Consistently delicious since 1973! No trip to Santa Cruz is complete without a meal at the Crepe Place. Especially with the garden patio in back.

I love going here whenever I'm back in Santa Cruz! The garden patio is just so serene and beautiful, honestly the perfect place for brunch. I have yet to try their crepes, but I can attest that all versions of their Benedict's are amazing! Everyone is super nice, and the patio is dog friendly as well so it's fun to see all the local dogs. Definitely worth stopping by!

Went there for the first time for a show and was very impressed. They have a great venue, good bar, and a great staff. The restaurant section if very impressive and the place is much more than just a bar. The back restaurant is attractive and they have large awesome looking back garden area you can eat at. We are definitely going back for weekend crepes in the garden area.

Just far enough from the hum of the street, this place mixes rustic charm with a dash of punk nostalgia. Step through the doors and you're greeted by a cozy wooden bar, where the scent of crepes mingles with the history of live music. The walls are adorned with memorabilia, particularly a goldmine for Good Riddance fans, and the space has hosted its share of punk, folk, and country legends over the years. But don't just stop at the bar--head outside to their lush garden patio. It's an oasis in the city, with plenty of plants and enough distance from the street to make you forget where you are. Perfect for brunch with a side of sunshine, especially when their crepes hit the table. Whether you like them sweet or savory, they don't disappoint. My only gripe? The menu could use a little more variety. While the crepes are delicious, I find myself ordering the same one again and again--consistency is great, but a curveball or two would be a welcome surprise. Still, whether you're there for the music, the memorabilia, or a perfectly crisp crepe, this spot has all the makings of a neighborhood favorite.

Visited on a Sunday evening, and got the old faithful crepe, which was buttery and generously stuffed with melted white cheddar and perfectly cooked chunks of bacon and scrambled eggs. It was a delightful savory dish, ordered a la carte, plated nicely with a few pieces of fresh fruit on the side. For dessert, they were out of the tunisian donut, so I got the "whole thing" which was a good alternative for satisfying my chocolate cravings on this day. And they certainly drenched the dessert crepe in warm chocolate sauce, along with plenty of fresh fruit beyond the expected banana slices... blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, orange slivers... with a nice crunch from the walnuts. It was hard not to finish the whole thing! Service was a tad slow, but the staff was wonderful otherwise, friendly, accommodating, apologetic about the waits, just made me feel welcome the entire time. And the outdoor seating in the back patio was beautiful, it was like dining in a jungle surrounded by a lovely array of plant life, lots of green! I also enjoyed the sounds of the bluegrass jam performance on the garden stage, a live music event that takes place regularly on Sunday afternoons through October. The volume was low as the musicians played a range of string instruments for diners. But it was pleasant entertainment fitting for the serene atmosphere, and added to a positive experience overall.

Inside is kinda funky/feels like a bar (I guess it is a bar), but the back garden patio is wonderful and tranquil. Also my kids loved it because they felt like they were "in the forest." My kids also very much enjoyed the fried appetizers, but really who doesn't love popcorn shrimp and tater tots? (I also very much enjoyed the tater tots). The crepes are very good and quite filling. We got savory crepes which is their main thing. The clam chowder was interesting - I like it a little creamier myself, but the flavor was still good. The fresh bread that comes with the meal is really quite nice and comes out hot! The whole atmosphere feels very relaxed and calm (that's not to say slow). Great place to go for a date, but also for families. I suppose it's not super cheap, but also not wildly expensive. You do get a good amount of food for your money.

The Crepe Place is one of my favorites for a weekend brunch. They have a spacious outdoor patio that's filled with plants, and it gets a lot of sun. It's great ambience for a brunch with friends, and they have great cocktails. I personally have not had their crepes, but I love their omelets and benedicts that are available on the weekends. The eggs in the benedicts are always perfectly poached, and the hollandaise sauce has great flavor. They are famous for their bloody marys, and it's easy to understand why. The mix is the perfect consistency and comes with delicious pickled green beans as a garnish. Four stars because it usually takes awhile to close out with the server and get the check back, and prices seem to have gone up quite a bit recently! The Crepe Place is also a wonderful place to see live music in the evenings. You can usually find upcoming shows on their website.
